Pros

The CEO is a very high energy, positive, brilliant, and caring individual. The Showroom Managers and the store teams are the heart and soul of the company.

Cons

My 3 year experience of working at Lovesac has been filled with a hostile work environment, discrimination, racism, bullying, favoritism, retaliation, wage theft, and forced labor. Upper management will attempt to indoctrinate you with a fictitious idea and ploy that Lovesac is a fun family. While the truth is, Lovesac is actually a sweatshop with insurmountable staffing turnover that’s operated by a culture of white racist, conservative, Karen’s. They pay you peanuts and treat you like trash while demanding that you drive millions of dollars in sales. Lovesac won’t provide commission, training, development, or any assistance in maintaining Lovesac’s financial success. Upper management just sits back and force the store teams to do all the heavy lifting, while they sit back and collect generous salaries and bonuses from their living rooms doing absolutely nothing but causing the store level to be extremely toxic. The CEO is a really positive and brilliant leader, but the problem with the company is the upper management team he’s entrusted in running the day to day operations of the brand is the antithesis of the CEO’s vision of the company.

Cons

This is one of the most toxic environments I’ve experienced. Morale is extremely low, leadership operates through fear and favoritism, and employees are treated as disposable. The company proudly promotes its core values, yet leadership and HR consistently fail to embody them in practice. HR exists to protect the company, not its people. If management decides they want you gone, they will find or manufacture a reason to justify it. Critical thinking, honest feedback, and challenging the status quo are discouraged. The only way to survive is to stay quiet, act like a robot, never question decisions, and color strictly within the lines they draw.
