Pros
Management usually stayed out of the way. Pay was 25K and advanced to 30K. Most hourly people knew what they were doing.
Cons
Management usually stayed out of the way even when you needed a manager. Management included ASM who had problems with men in general and white men in particular, favoritism was rampant, I got on the wrong side of the politics/favorites. Fraternization among salaried managers and unaccessible managers made moving to Home Depot the best solution to the problem..
