Pros
Typically good co-workers that become family. The tenured associates all have each others' backs. The pay is decent. If you make sales as a store, the potential bonuses are OK.
Cons
Constant badgering from store manager - the focus is on ongoing criticism and nitpicking. This comes from above. Perceived shortcomings - or as they call them 'opportunities' - are always at the forefront. Wins are celebrated briefly, if at all. Corporate greed is becoming more prevalent as hours are being slashed in an effort to increase the bottom line; read - corporate/managerial bonuses. Growing 'do more with less' mentality. Out of touch with reality in that they feel like "find a way to get it done" will magically make things happen whilst cutting more hours; they want the best customer service with as few associates as possible, then throw the 'more profit more hours' spiel at you and complain when customers give poor surveys because they couldn't find help. This company will gladly allow you to work yourself into the ground as they look the other way.
