Pros

Nurses working directly with me are capable, well trained. Good staff to work with. My immediate team leader is great.

Cons

I feel leadership does not recognize Advance Practice Providers (they use the term Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) as valuable members of the team. There is no recognition at a leadership level, including a lack of overall leadership/representation for Advance Practice providers in the system, especially bad at Lowell General Hospital. The pay is low compared to market, and the ability to increase your yearly salary is poor. No bonus, no productivity review, just a standard 2% raise yearly. The leadership is usually moved up from previous roles based on qualities such as personality and interpersonal dynamics as opposed to considering true qualifications.
