Pros

Not many but there are some nice people who work here.

Cons

Lucid's Q1 performance was nothing short of disappointing. Despite missing targets, the leadership's decision to celebrate felt disconnected from reality, overshadowing the evident issues within the company. Internally, the abundance of processes stifles productivity, making it challenging to accomplish meaningful work. The overbearing influence of the CFO and VP of sales in deal-making only serves to prioritize revenue over fair treatment of Account Executives (AEs), leading to an unhealthy work environment. Micromanagement has reached alarming levels, with AEs feeling suffocated by unnecessary oversight. This, coupled with plummeting morale, has triggered a mass exodus of talent, indicating systemic issues that go unaddressed. Competitively, losing deals to Miro on a weekly basis signals a failure to adapt or innovate, instead engaging in a futile pricing war. It paints a bleak picture of Lucid future prospects and strategic direction. Overall, unless one is truly desperate or possesses insider connections, it's advisable to steer clear of Lucid. The current state of affairs paints a grim picture of a company in decline, lacking the necessary leadership and vision to navigate through its challenges.

Pros

- Very strong mentorship program - Very nice people - Some VERY good engineers, PMs, and designers

Cons

- Pay isn't competitive outside of Utah (but hey, at least we're hiring) - Like most other companies at our size, your success and satisfaction largely depend on the team you're on - Sales and product/eng could probably be better aligned to inform product decisions - Like most other SAAS companies, we're investing A LOT into AI. This could bite us in the future (I personally think we're in a bubble, and the consequences of over-investing will be very painful once it bursts)
