Pros

I interviewed with Lucky Brand Jeans for a local store, and was extremely satisfied with the pay, compensation package, and work/life balance it provided. The lifestyle that the company provided was a positive one, as they encouraged feedback at first and always the recognition was given. Training was a positive experience and the tools given were great for the developement at your staff. Hiring process for managment is fast, challenging, but rewarding. They create a great team environment.

Cons

Once you get over your new job high, the politics start coming out. The HR department is a disaster. They are more sales driven than people driven. They will visit your stores and ask about goals and how your team is performing, more than dealing with HR issues. It's corporate politics since the company rebranded and became part of LCI. Their open door policy no longer protects you as an employee to have confidential conversations as retaliation does occur, but the HR department always will take care of the upper management first before taking care of your concerns. It sometimes becomes getting rid of YOU before solving the problem. Leadership in certain aspects are great and supportive, but my district manager was incompitent and lacked communication skills. She was more concerned about making things pretty vs. actually leading a team to produce results. Not only that, but unethical and uncomfortable relationships seen within the upper management made it hard who to trust.
