Pros
The relationships built with guests and working with a great team. There are obtainable goals to achieve rewards. Compensation is very reasonable.
Cons
No work life balance. Long term associates are not appreciated. There is favoritism with promotions, if you are not part of the in crowd, forget it. The DM holds your career in their hands. HR doesn’t follow up or express an ounce of interest when a resignation is turned in by a tenured management member. Expressing concerns and/ or ideas is a joke. Bullying by upper management is a thing. This started out as an awesome place to work and in the last couple of years the expectations have become increasingly unreasonable and unobtainable. It’s an entertainment business so long hours are to be expected, but you never get to rest and reset to continue to give your all. Burnout is real. The expectation is that phone calls and texts are to be answered at all times. There is a long list of items but to sum it up the expectation and goal is to create a fun experience for the guests, that’s hard to do when the management is continuously made to feel they are incompetent…and they are worn out. In the long run the money is not worth it.
