Always hiring a manager from outside that YOU will have to train to be your boss) Aggressive pressure from upper management (DM, RVP, etc.) to not just meet but exceed KPIs each period Necessary renovations are rejected so newer locations can be built/remodeled (safety hazard in my location has been rejected for repairs for years, yet newer ones are being renovated/re-branded every month) Raises are few and far between Job descriptions list salaried managers at 40 hours per week, but 48 is actually the expected minimum Constantly understaffed because pay scale for hourly positions is WAY under similar jobs
