Cons
I was hired when Bowlmor/AMF purchased Brunswick bowling centers. At first, I was excited about the possibility and change but I quickly started to dislike the changes. I worked at a center in the midwest and was expected to sell like I was in New York or LA where space for events is at a premium and there is little to no competition from other bowling alleys. I lost so many former customers because of the dramatic increase in prices and the inability to negotiate. Thankfully I went before things went from bad to worse. When sales plummeted because our customers left for cheaper, more flexible alternatives, sales people were fired and not replaced. This put even more strain on the team as there were not enough sales reps to meet demand during peak times. Within 2 years of the acquisition, all but one of the great MN sales team either quit or were fired.
