Pros

Co-workers are still fantastic, despite every company choice being guided by how it will affect the ultimate sale of the company.

Cons

Employee benefits continue to be whittled away. Less personal days, no rollover for unused days. Week between Christmas and New Year no longer offered as a benefit. This, after a reduction in the company 401k match, two years ago, with employees no longer able to take 401k deductions on bonuses.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. It's crucial we clarify the exciting enhancements to Lumanity's employee benefits for 2024 and beyond, while also addressing the points you raised: Regarding the Winter Shutdown, we are pleased to confirm that the week between Christmas and New Year continues as a valued tradition at Lumanity, ensuring all our employees have time to recharge together. In terms of 401k Adjustments, we understand the concerns raised. While there has been much harmonization due to mergers, we've ensured these are balanced with substantial improvements in core benefits like medical, dental, and vision coverage. Additionally, in 2024, there will be a substantial cut in our medical insurance premiums by $240 across all coverage levels, along with an increase in HSA Lumanity funding. Plus, Teledoc visits are now copay-free on selected plans, ensuring easier access to healthcare. Our parental leave has been extended to support family growth, alongside new fertility coverage and up to $10,000 for Adoption & Surrogacy Assistance. For Dental and Vision, we've secured stable rates and partnered with the leading dental provider in the US, enhancing our vision plan with an increased frame allowance. Additionally, we have introduced eight new offerings, including gym reimbursements and wellness rewards, designed to support your overall health and wellness. For our UK and EU colleagues, we're equally committed to enhancing your benefits. Exciting updates are coming soon - we promise it'll be worth the wait! Pros

don't recommend Lumanity to anyone

Cons

The onboarding and training process did not meet my expectations. I was told during the hiring process that I would receive structured training, but in practice this never materialized. Although there was a training plan available, it was not actively followed or prioritized by my manager. From my first week, I was assigned to multiple client projects with minimal guidance and was expected to learn independently while meeting demanding deadlines. The workload was often very heavy, with several concurrent projects and, at times, multiple deliverables due on the same day. For someone new to the company and medical communications, this created a steep learning curve and made the transition unnecessarily challenging. In my experience, work-life balance was poor. Tight deadlines and high workloads frequently resulted in long working days, and it was common to see colleagues working from early morning until late at night, particularly during busy periods. The pace of work often felt unsustainable.
