Pros

lots of great individuals to work with, can find a good team. for such a gigantic company they try to have a good culture, and do a decent job. some good "new" products, with the correct projects to address issues, consolidate network, and billing to be more competitive and agile (as agile as a $18B company can me). So working on the right things to move everything in the right direction, to stop the bleeding. At least they were when I left in 2014.

Cons

Contracting vehicles needed some work. some customers had to sign 3-5 different contracts with 3-5 separate bills from 3-5 different entities. Lots of not so great individuals, lifers, there were 2 people with 45+ years with CL. its a mix of old guard and new guard. everyone needs to embrace the new products + new direction. it is no longer a "copper" telco. mid level managers get worked to the bone. one peer was working 90-100 hours a week as interim director, but never offered the job or pay to match. very little time for mentoring direct reports.

Pros

Medical Benefits are very good. Not a lot of micromanagement unless your leader doesnt understand the resources to pull this info. AI is highly encouraged, not required... which is a nice balance.

Cons

Random layoffs every couple months. Kate Johnson doesn't understand the importance of credibility in this space. Q1 customer meetings are majority introduction meetings due to constant account realignment. Leadership pretends to believe they know these are large enterprise accounts, but their actions reflect a transactional sales approach.
