Thank you for taking the time to share your valuable feedback. The experience you describe sounds understandably frustrating. If it's okay, I’d like to take a moment to explain how we evaluate pay grades and determine merit increases.
A couple of years ago, we had no formal methodology for evaluating market ranges or awarding raises. In 2023, we implemented a structured approach using compensable factors to assess a position’s impact within the organization. We then compare the role to similar positions in companies of comparable revenue size within the industry and region. This process allows us to set fair and competitive ranges for each position.
As a Series B company operating in a challenging market for all, we weren’t certain we could afford raises this year at all. Once we determined what was feasible without jeopardizing the company’s stability, we developed a methodology to distribute raises to all eligible employees. This seemed like the right thing, but understand your feedback that implies focusing greater merit increases on fewer individuals perhaps might have been a more impactful approach.
We appreciate your honest perspective as we work to find the right balance. If you have any questions about pay structure or raises, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at peopleops@getluna.com. We genuinely strive to take everyone's feedback into consideration as we move forward.
While we’re sorry we couldn’t meet your expectations this year, we’re deeply grateful for your contributions to the company, our patients, and our therapists. Teams like yours are the backbone of what makes Luna thrive, and we apologize for delivering a less than ideal experience. Thank you again for your feedback—it’s invaluable as we continue to improve.
