Pros

Staff are charismatic and quirky, products are excellent and generally as such, bring in lovely customers too. Pay is the LIVING wage which is awesome, lots of opportunities to work overtime. All the products you get to use is an awesome bonus, and you smell great all day! Lots of effort put into thorough training - you grow and learn.

Cons

Too much emphasis on constantly approaching customers - Lots of snappy customers as such. It's possible to come across as helpful and knowledgable without having to hassle customers, but management won't hear it! Too many managers and supervisiors - While most were nice, many just stood around on the shop floor and didn't contribute to the work environment which creates an elitist atmosphere - One supervisior definitely ENFORCES this elitist behaviour, was patronising and nasty at times and belittling when you made your own choices that she didn't agree with - even if your choice worked in your favour. People who SHOULD be in management aren't. There were more inspiring sales assistants than supervisors/management.

Pros

Excellent inclusive company culture, employee discount, learning about natural ingredients for skincare, genuinely great and engaged team members, flexible work schedule for part time or casual positions.

Cons

High amount of work, unreasonable "evidence driven" feedback and coaching models, and unrealistic performance metrics for comically low pay, especially for floor coordinators. No additional pay given for specialty roles, which is many enhanced responsibilities over a specific area of the business, and little opportunity for career growth beyond the sales floor unless you are hired from an external management position. Floor Coordinator seems to be the highest rung most people can hit before being driven elsewhere.
