Pros
1) Good work life balance, if you have a decent manager 2) Your career is in your hands, if you have a good manager 3) The every day people really try to embody the core values of the company 4) Some of the best people you will meet in the work place.
Cons
1) Some people who are not suited to manage are promoted to management positionst. Couple this with being slow to make decisions and these managers remain in these positions for a long time, driving performers away from the department or the company. 2) There is also no middle ground at this company. The pendulum swings one way and then the other. This means that one year your work life balance, autonomy, and management scrutiny is tolerable but the next its not. There does not ever seem to be middle ground. 3) Some of the senior management, while nice people, can come across as unprofessional and detached from the reality that is going on around them.
