Pros

Nothing really. Maybe just a place where someone at the start of their career can build their first year of experience but more than that will probably hold back that person from growing properly.

Cons

- recruiters call you on mobile whenever they want, without scheduling the meeting - they post 10 jobs on LinkedIn, but in fact, it's the same role - they are treating people as simple project resources - the salary and job security depend strictly on the client project. Therefore, it's better to work as a freelancer than through an intermediary like Luxoft - the growth opportunities are lacking - there is no internal structure and processes that support growth within the company. The only chance at mobility is to switch to another project, which is not a real promotion - My experience with Luxof: I applied for a Scrum Master role (have been working for 10+ years as an Agile Coach, Delivery Manager launching countless startups successfully, working on various industries and products at various stages. I know my worth and capabilities very well and that I am overqualified, but still, I thought I'd try them out. I passed the interviews, and I negotiated a CIM salary of 18.000 RON net/month, which was confirmed and was waiting for the confirmation from their client. The recruiter called me and said that unfortunately, the client cancelled the position, but they want to place me with a different client. However, with this client, they can pay only 15.000 ron net/month. Although I felt like a huge compromise from my side, I said ok, let's talk to this new client and see how it goes. We never talked to the client, but they got back after 2 weeks with an automated email saying that we would not proceed at this time, and no other explanation was given - not that I needed one but still. To me, it's clear that they are a "mercenary" center, a body shop, renting people and treating them as cattle, nothing more. I am ashamed that I let myself drag through all this and was willing to compromise so much for this terrible company.

Pros

- Nice and respectful culture - The company trusts its employees, no need for a lot bureaucracy when taking days off or sick leave - If you are good, they are going to do anything in their power to keep you

Cons

- Parent DXC company is very strict and outdated, Luxoft systems are very good, but sometimes we need to use DXC systems that are mostly sharepoint and awfully designed Service Now. - After DXC took control, everything is Windows, you are lucky if you get a Mac system, and they hate Linux. You need to sell your soul and get many management and client approvals and exceptions in IT to be able to use Linux. - If is a huge company that serves many clients, so obviously, you are going to have totally different experiences depending on the client you work for
