Nice place, dead end career - Software Developer I Lynden Incorporated Employee Review

Pros

People here are friendly and willing to work with you Developers have a good work/life balance, overtime is rare Clear expectations, clear goals, no cutthroat PIP culture like you'd find at Amazon. People want you to succeed.

Cons

All knowledge is tribal and the tribe is almost all close to retirement. This is a barrier to clear and concise explanations of how anything works there You'll be exclusively working with a very old language almost no other company uses. If you are a new graduate, this will completely torpedo any other prospects for employment elsewhere because you won't be working with any OOP or frameworks. It is absolutely possible to come here and make a career and never leave. That prospect wouldn't be so bad if the pay wasn't abysmally low for talented developers.
