In my experience, leadership was difficult to work with in ways that made working there incredibly stressful. For example, my direct manager who was involved in direct patient care seldom completed proper documentation of visits for gender affirming surgeries or urgent mental health crisis appointments. This has been going on for years with no consequences for this person despite the liability involved in this choice to not document. The leadership as a whole feels as if it is "quiet union busting," meaning they are dragging on union contract negotiations for more than a year, often offering the excuse of "being on this side of the table for the first time." They do not seem to be friendly to femme-presenting staff and deeply overwork many staff, especially the front desk staff and care coordinators. There is definitely a hierarchy in which doctors are above NPs who are treated better than therapists, etc. The leadership team has a very difficult time owning their role in the very poor morale of the clinic and will often try to give providers and staff more to do in the name of receiving a grant without letting workers know ahead of time that their role will be changing. Their process for reporting incidents is interesting to say the least. For example, if an incident report is filed against leadership or a well respected provider, the leadership will only follow up with that person and take their word for it, rather than gather information from both sides. Follow actions are kept secret from those who file the incident reports and rarely do any meaningful changes happen as a result of incident reports.
