Leadership doesn't not take accountability for the on-going harm they cause staff. It would be an understatement to say "they don't care about us." Anytime staff complains, leadership either ignores the complaint or makes it seem like the person making the complaint is the problem. Gaslighting behavior is how leadership operates, which is what makes this place especially harmful to any vulnerable population. I was personally traumatized from working there. I witnessed complaints of sexual harassment by my coworker, where the accuser was punished and it took 5 months for the perpetrator, who was in management, to be terminated. I quit because of this. There are displays of favoritism to their friends they hire also in management positions. Some staff quit over displays racial discrimination. Unfortunately, tokenization also occurs. Leadership continues to punish staff for trying to unionize. They use the strategy of "weaponized incompetence" on the part of the leadership rep to filibuster all bargaining meetings. They still haven't allowed a contract to be agreed to for 17+ months. Almost half of the staff have left in the past 8 months; majority of the directors and over ten staff- when only 45 people work here. It's like Lord of the Flies so the staff that remain are cliquey and unfriendly. Clinic morale is poor. LM probably won't stay open for much longer given how it's being run. It would be in a prospective employees best interest to find anywhere else to work. Lyon Martin's motto is care that is FOR US, BY US. Yet it is their own staff, part of their target population, that this non-profit is traumatizing, disrespecting, and villainizing.
