Pros

Flexible with hours, site lead trusts you to do your job and not be micromanaged, customer makes it fun to come to work even though we are extremely busy and drowning daily in work.

Cons

First line supervisors are not properly trained or ManTech hires to fill the seat. It’s all about getting the numbers! First line supervisor in particular does more talking, walking and thinks every day is happy hour rather then cranking out the workload that has been sitting on said desk for the past 5 years when they were hired. First line supervisors act like the government customer and forgets their check is signed by ManTech. ManTech needs to really pay attention to who they hire. Warm bodies are not always a fit for the position! Make sure first line supervisors are well rounded and can contribute to the team rather than being hands off because they have no skill set in what they are currently managing!

Pros

Working at ManTech has given me the perfect balance between my career and personal life. The flexible work schedule and remote options make managing daily life stress-free, and the generous vacation time means I can actually disconnect and recharge when I need to. On top of that, the education benefits are incredible—the company actively invests in my growth by covering tuition and certifications, making it easy to advance my skills while working.

Cons

On the downside, the day-to-day experience can be a bit of a gamble because your work-life balance and schedule flexibility depend entirely on the customer and contract you support. If you end up on a rigid client site, those perks can feel pretty limited. Additionally, the medical benefits are just okay—they cover the basics, but they are nothing spectacular compared to what other government contractors offer.
