Pros
This is a very good company (depends on your team and project). I've seen them pay for salaries for folks during the shutdown, find folks other contracts when things get sticky, what contractor does that? They pay for grad school too.
Cons
Working with feds DoD can be really painful. Its a master to slave relationship. You're an extra body that the gov doesnt want to hire, but needs to surge up a project, there is always a surge down. In DC, since military is always rotating, a hot head serviceman can come in and shake stuff up by letting people go, going with another contractor, etc. Since the company sees you as a slot for a contract, you're not likely move up the leadership chain.
