Pros

1: As everyone says, MAQ is best for its bi-annual appraisal cycle and learning. It's not.

Cons

1: There is no new development as projects are carried over from year to year, and codes are copied and pasted. 2: Interns and fresh college graduates make up half of the workforce. The senior personnel's burden is increased as a result of their training as well as their work. 3. Mandatory technology stack training for freshers is a huge fat lie. Multiple technology trainings are finished in two weeks, and freshers are expected to be able to function as efficiently as seasoned employees. The project training videos just provide a high-level overview that is too difficult to comprehend. 4: Your resume's red highlight is the lack of long-term experience with any technology after working at MAQ. You'll never know which role best fits your profile because you've worked on multiple stacks for a short period of time. 5: Managers request that employees focus on ideas in addition to project work in the name of innovation, for the sole purpose of gaining points for their own evaluation. These concepts are doomed from the start. 6: According to some reviews, the best part of MAQ is learning. It isn't the case. Learning should be done at one's own pace rather than being imposed upon. MAQ used to aim for a certain amount of Microsoft certifications, despite the fact that the employees had no concept what the stack was. As a result, because they don't have time to invest on the course and learn correctly, employees have turned to websites where you can find the answers and complete the certifications. The result being employees earn a certificate about which they have no proper knowledge or have hands-on, and the company receives the incentives. For you, it's a loss, but for the firm, it's a gain. 7: Employees' meeting times are increased as a result of study groups held throughout the year. There is no benefit to anyone except the seniors who conduct the sessions and the managers who arrange them during the appraisal process. 8: The appraisal process is really complicated. Working solely on a client's project will not result in a positive evaluation. Even if you complete as many courses as possible, continuously create new ideas, and groom freshmen, you will not receive the same level of recognition as someone who graduated from a top-tier college. Overall, they will exploit you but will not compensate you for it. 9: Employees begin seeking for other jobs within the first six months since the policies are unfriendly to employees. 10: Deadlines set by clients are unrealistic. A six-month project is expected to be completed in three months, dependent on other projects incorporating a new change. The best part is that all of the projects will go live at the same time. 11: The company didn't even reimburse employees for monthly internet bills during Covid. No WFH setup reimbursement were given to the employees. Your CTC includes health insurance refund. If you have health insurance, you will be compensated. Otherwise, forget about the 5,000 of your CTC. The company is even unable to pay for the well-being of its employees. Your CTC also includes a PPF refund of 50,000, which you will only receive if you contribute 1 Lakh to your PPF. Otherwise, forget about the 50,000 of your CTC. As a result, your actual in hand salary is much lower than what you might have anticipated. 12. The emphasis on process is so strong that it changes every six months. Employees struggle to comprehend the process, and by the time they do, it has changed again.

Fast-paced environment can be overwhelming at first, but you get used to it and grow quickly.

Cons

Employees are treated as tools rather than people, with a strong focus on results and little regard for employee well-being. HR and management appear to be aligned primarily with the company's interests. Compensation growth is limited, and long working hours are common. The day often starts with meetings at 8 a.m., requires office attendance from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and continues with additional meetings until as late as 10 p.m.
