Pros
They acknowledge hard work. It's easy to be heard. Coworkers are eager to help and be engaged. There are quarterly (bonding) events which are fun. There is a solid market for the products they make.
Cons
Lack of inter-departmental structure and under-resourced. High level business decisions should've been more transparent, given how small the company was. Employees are seen as utterly dispensable. Rounds of layoffs anytime a poorly calculated business decision goes unsurprisingly awry.
