Great Company - Tax Accountant MBH Settlement Group Employee Review

My experience with MBH was positive and it was truly my favorite job I’ve ever had. I was able to work remotely serving as a title support coordinator. My experience with management was always great and i was always in constant contact even working remotely. It allowed for growth opportunities as well and I felt I was paid fairly. Great health and dental benefits. Great communication from all parties during the work day and truly enjoyable work.

I do not have any cons

Paycheck, christmas lunch. Coworkers tended to care about doing things correctly and keeping you apprised of changes in business processes, special circumstances etc.

Manager was incompetent... and less than ethical. He'd smile in your face and pretend that everything was great... but didn't train us on proper protocols, then acted surprised when corporate sent someone to train us on the mbh way of doing things. Lack of training initially (corporate sent a more experienced person to help teach us the mbh way of doing things - which helped alot). The manager didn't bother to lead by example and actually learn from the person corporate sent to train us - so there were numerous times he asked us to do things that were contradictory to the way corporate wanted us yo do things. Manager even tried several times to badger us into doing things that were HUGE no-nos in real estate...like wiring back a ~$100k EMD on a transaction that fell through, without bothering to get a fully executed release. Manager would make other promises and then not back them up by following through with the promises. Manager would also make unprofessional and disparaging comments to me about my coworkers regularly....
