Pros

Decent benefits and the Deli!

Cons

I started there 12 years and thought it was a great company. I can no longer say this. I have had 14 different supervisors over the years; most either quit or were laid off. The problem is management with this place. In 2014 management threatened to move the 540 jobs in Brevard County to the Mexico plant if they did not get a tax break. One of the stipulations was job growth. It has been nothing but a reduction of the workforce ever since. The people I work with are great and are just as frustrated. They never have all the parts in you need in stock to get a jump on revenue for the month, you are always place behind the 8 ball not by your doing!. Advancement is pretty much nonexistent.

Pros

- Work schedule allows for a lot of time off/flexibility - Decent benefits - Co-workers generally competent and amiable, despite the working conditions and low morale

Cons

- Unequal treatment of work shifts/departments - Work environment can be extremely stressful - Low employee morale - Lack of effective organized employee training - Pay not as good as other EMS providers in the area - Lack of effective maintenance/engineering support on weekend shifts - No facilities personnel available on weekend shifts, often resulting in restrooms becoming unbearable/unusable due to toilets clogged with human waste, overfilled garbage bins in cafeteria and other unsightly/unsanitary conditions - Indifferent if not outright hostile attitude and policies towards employees by upper management and HR - Ineffective/indecisive middle management - Advancement opportunities are nearly non-existent - Company has infuriating vacation policy - one can apply for vacation time anywhere from 2-3 months to a YEAR in advance and yet still be denied
