Pros

- "ok" benefits - somewhat flexible hours - good place to gain experience - overtime offered during end of month, generally - cafeteria that sells food mon- fri located on company premises

Cons

- very poor enforcement of company policies (i.e. people on cell phones in areas designated to be free of such devices, nepotism in regards to conflict of interest, etc.) - fravoritism - poor training, causing quality to suffer as many employees are not given all the knowledge to perform duties correctly - cheap/faulty materials/equipment causing work to be very frustrating - lack of technicians/engineer/maintenance support on certain shifts causing excessive amounts of "down time" which in turn causes management to question why operators are not being able to hit target rates when the problem lies in management themselves. - poor pay, much lower than comparable companies/positions in the area - unfair pay within work place itself in regards to certain employees recieving a "line lead differential pay" while other employees who have the same title and do the same work with the same responsibilities exposed to the same conditions for the same amount of time do not recieve the differential pay. - Incompetent HR department, employees "scared" to bring up concerns to HR as they fear losing their jobs. HR department tries to be very intimidating and is very mean spirited rather than being for the employees. - meetings that resolve very little issues or concerns - absolutely no incentives for employees - low morale causing a miserable working environment - employees must work excessive amounts of overtime to make half decent paychecks - frequent layoffs - OSHA violations left and right - in conclusion, employees are under appreciated and under paid, causing many to be unhappy and unmotivated. most issues could be avoided or solved using common sense but is not the case at MC.

Pros

- Work schedule allows for a lot of time off/flexibility - Decent benefits - Co-workers generally competent and amiable, despite the working conditions and low morale

Cons

- Unequal treatment of work shifts/departments - Work environment can be extremely stressful - Low employee morale - Lack of effective organized employee training - Pay not as good as other EMS providers in the area - Lack of effective maintenance/engineering support on weekend shifts - No facilities personnel available on weekend shifts, often resulting in restrooms becoming unbearable/unusable due to toilets clogged with human waste, overfilled garbage bins in cafeteria and other unsightly/unsanitary conditions - Indifferent if not outright hostile attitude and policies towards employees by upper management and HR - Ineffective/indecisive middle management - Advancement opportunities are nearly non-existent - Company has infuriating vacation policy - one can apply for vacation time anywhere from 2-3 months to a YEAR in advance and yet still be denied
