Pros

Smart, dedicated, hard-working staff They do make attempts at team building and company morale (bowling days, happy hours, etc) Clean, aesthetically pleasing office environment Somewhat casual dress code Flexible work hours

Cons

When you read all the above pros, you're probably wondering how I could only rate MDR 2 stars. Let's start with the horrific upper management. They simply make foolish decisions. Over and over and over. And they somehow keep getting funding, but it all seems to be from the new CEO's pockets. Yes, that happened...the old CEO stepped down, but he is still ruining everything in a new way by "being more involved". The new CEO/funders are probably falling prey to the sunk cost/money pit phenomenon. They do not solicit their worker's feedback or input, which is unfortunate, because the clinicians, account managers, and ambassadors are the ones who can really speak to the patient experience side of things. Management's rotten attitude bleeds down, creating an extremely competitive culture, where people do not communicate between departments, and there are all sorts of secrets. But there's always a mole, so the secrets get out, and there's always word of the next round of layoffs. So each week, there's more rumbling about who will get laid off next. So many people got the ax in the last few months, entire departments were wiped out. The office may be nice, and the coworkers are friendly and smart, but it's hard to enjoy a those aspects of a job, when you're always living in fear that you won't have one. I get that this is a startup, but there's a difference between a dynamic, flexible, adaptable environment, and one that is totally chaotic and mismanaged. It is almost comical how many smart, ambitious, hard working people have either been let go or left on their own. I almost forgot...there's this bizarre distrust and competition between the clinical team and the technology team. How can a healthcare technology company possibly hope to be successful if each side is continually undermining the other? Just sayin. And now the company is pivoting yet again, making the same mistakes they've made over and over...
