Great safety culture. Well above average salary and benefits for the area and foundry industry at-large. Very technically interesting manufacturing process for engineers, lots of opportunity for continual learning and development. Forward-looking business and CapEx planning, new induction furnaces are being installed in the next 3 years. Quarterly performance bonus for salaried employees, typically pays out well since operations and quality performance is well-managed.
Cons
Pretty flat organizational structure - not much opportunity to move up for technical people other than middle management. Production tons follow boom-bust cycle of the mining customers, so during the boom times there are sometimes 2 weekends/month where production is scheduled. Salary exempt staff is expected to come in but receives no additional compensation.
