Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We agree! MEMIC offers a fantastic work environment and our headquarters in downtown Portland is unbeatable. We're sorry you've decided to leave MEMIC. Working as a Claims Specialist can be challenging, but it can also be rewarding. Our dedicated claims handling approach ensures that policyholders are assigned a claim management team for all their claims. With caseloads far below the industry average, we’re able to give each injured worker more time and attention, providing them with a level of customer service that very few other carriers can provide. The senior management is taking steps to maintain transparency and openness throughout the pandemic. Every day, we strive to improve.

Pros

Great benefits Sr. Leadership continuously adapting to keep workforce engaged - including management training, gallup engagement action planning, adjusting benefits package/bonus structure. All while keeping profitable growth at the forefront to keep the company secure as a stable employer.

Cons

Lots of ongoing change, so being nimble is important. Not necessarily a con, but can be if navigating change is hard for you. Upward mobility opportunities are limited, as it's not the largest employer relative to the industry. Also not necessarily a con, unless that's essential for you.
