Everyone's on a sinking ship together

Cons

Upper executives are in their own world and are out of tune with actual issues within the company/business. They will have no problems giving you the work of 3 other adjusters and just expect you to get it done along with your own work in the same amount of time.

It is unfortunate that your time at MEMIC was not an overall positive experience. One of the great aspects of MEMIC are the people and sense of purpose everyone brings to the work of keeping people safe and returning injured workers to health. In the claims department, we are constantly searching for methods to evenly share the workload by rebalancing the caseload. If you haven’t spoken with your manager or a member of senior management regarding your concerns, please do so. As you know, one of the five central values of this company is transparency, which goes both ways. Without more specifics, it is difficult to address your comments. Visitors to this web site should know that MEMIC is celebrating 30 years of great success, growth, and opportunity. Pros

Great benefits Sr. Leadership continuously adapting to keep workforce engaged - including management training, gallup engagement action planning, adjusting benefits package/bonus structure. All while keeping profitable growth at the forefront to keep the company secure as a stable employer.

Cons

Lots of ongoing change, so being nimble is important. Not necessarily a con, but can be if navigating change is hard for you. Upward mobility opportunities are limited, as it's not the largest employer relative to the industry. Also not necessarily a con, unless that's essential for you.
