Pros

Nice office, fantastic views, mac book pros for everyone, free soft drinks/coffee, a top quality cafe, gym and games room downstairs, honest company, good morals and ethics, friendly and competent hardworking staff, well organised dev department using productive tools, growing fast with big aspirations. Pretty fast turn around - which is a pro to me because I only want to work with other hard workers. Office is clean and spacious. Plenty of quiet rooms and and nice outdoor areas for eating and relaxing. Lead developer has built a well organised setup and hires really smart devs. Rarely had to stay back late. Those who do stay late regularly are willing and are recognised for their efforts. CEO authored a great book that I highly recommend reading if you're into business psychology books. No grumps, no crazies, everyone is calm, cool and happy. Lots of awesome people who I'd definitely hang out with if I was a bachelor. Will maintain friendships with some of them for a long time. A few parties and get-togethers per year, a catered lunch every month, spontaneous free food every month, free donuts whenever someone has a birthday which is almost every week due to a staff of 45.

Cons

One of my dislikings was the indecisiveness of some staff who had leadership roles but probably didn't have the vision or experience to fulfil it, resulting in staff wasting a lot of time working on things that were scrapped or modified significantly after the work had already been done and could have been avoided by not rushing it or better communication or research. Another minor annoyance was the lack of communication within management about where projects are in their timeline, and what was meant to be a priority. The leaders travel a lot and stay busy in sales and marketing so there needed to be some better communication there. For me as a mid level developer, there was no career opportunity besides the annual raise, but if you're coming in as a junior or mid developer, there's plenty of opportunity to learn good coding standards and get exp with a good set of tools in preparation for a senior role elsewhere. Some of the job titles were extreme and there were so many seniors and directors for a 45 person company it seemed like they were making their own titles. I was waiting for someone to announce themselves Supreme Leader of the DRM4 Development team shares the office with other departments, who occasionally laugh or yell and distract you from what you're working on. There's a couple people who are inconsiderate of others when it comes to noise. The recruiter was a really cool person, but asked everyone to leave a review on GlassDoor only if it's positive and that's lame, so there's probably a bunch of fake sounding reviews here. This one is real because I resigned and have no ties with them anymore, but it's from my perspective as a developer. There appeared to be some small time politics over the other side of the office so their reviews might be different if they weren't incentivised to leave an overly positive review.

Pros

Working at MFour Data Research has been a rewarding experience in my career. I started as a paid intern over 11 years ago. I had the opportunity to grow through multiple roles—from project coordinator, to project manager, senior project manager, and eventually leading the OOH business unit. At every stage, leadership and my colleagues provided mentorship, clear guidance, and a roadmap to help me advance. Anytime I expressed interest in the next step, the company supported me in achieving it. ’ve had the privilege of working with some of the most talented individuals in the market research industry, and the management team consistently invests in developing people. Whether it was learning from project managers early in my career or being guided by operations leadership as I stepped into managing an entire business unit, the support has always been there. Along the way, I was even able to contribute by writing processes and helping shape how our OOH team operates today. MFour gave me an opportunity to establish myself in this industry when the CEO—who I knew from coaching boxing—recognized my work ethic and encouraged me to join the company. That leap has turned into a fulfilling career where I’ve not only grown professionally but also built lasting relationships. MFour is a place where hard work and dedication are truly recognized, and where people can thrive if they’re eager to learn and grow.

Cons

The office is located in Irvine, a city that is too clean for its own good.
