Pros

My lab paid postdocs really well and the research I worked on involved collaborating with some awesome people around the country.

Cons

Women and people of color consistently received harsher feedback in my lab than white male employees, to the point that all of the employees (besides management) noticed it. Postdocs in other labs within MIT make significantly less than I do, which is unfair. Postdoctoral Fellows (as opposed to Postdoctoral Associates) have worse benefits. It's also complicated being associated with a university that has done so many shady things, both historically and recently.
