Pros
The HQ building at 55 Water has good quality supplies and technology when you are in need. It's pretty peaceful there/freakishly quiet. I found admin to generally communicate quickly, and there are a lot of resources at your disposable as a staff member. I heard that they were addressing their less than excellent software - hopefully that helps the time spent on behind the screen.
Cons
Social workers are rushed from client to client, and encouraged to have laptop open and typing within connection with client to ensure accuracy and to discourage staff feedback about not enough time to meet clients and do detailed notes after appointments. Within hospice, this comes across as crude/vulgar. During my time, I had little to no supervision - considering the importance of a hospice placement in social work school, this is pretty concerning. I also noticed no training on the religious/spiritual elements of the job, or team building between nurses/SWers/doctors. A lot of nurses quit while I was there, and there did not seem to be work to prevent this or address.
