Pros

PTO/ Sick leave. The 55 Water St location is a very nice building.

Cons

Everything. Company is in jeopardy of losing its hospice accreditation. The directors of clinical and above are completely disrespectful and unprofessional. They cannot agree on anything and bark orders. High turn over of nursing staff, overworked, high case load, terrible old medical record. SVP needs to retire, COO has no hospice experience, CEO has a financial background and is unapproachable. He can’t be bothered to do or say anything and defers to his secretary to send out anything. He does not earn his pay. The board sets the tone. They yell at the leadership team who then yells at the employees. They do not want to hear you are short staffed. Instead work every minute of the day, don’t get paid for it and don’t complain.

Pros

great position to get into while looking for a real job, good to start out

Cons

I interviewed with a female recruiter who promised one salary but then they chnged the salary to 8K less right before the start date, giving you no time to recrruit to other positions. Luckily I had a better opportunity a couple of months into the role and was able to leave. HR in this company are the biggest liars. They dont care about what theybsay, just how many people they can recruit within a certain period to meet their quotas. If you are recruiting for a position that is non-manaferial , watch out , this is what they do to try to fill in rolls that are dificult to keep. Or do not quit your job until first day on the job of MJHS.
