Pros

The best part about working at mod is the benefits. I usually get about 35 hours. I get paid 10.50 & with every shift I get a free meal. & that is about it.

Cons

The company says their mission is to value self expression. Yeah.. If you're a druggie. If you're not, then might as well just count yourself out of the rest of the squad. I know one other employee who is normal. All the others come to work high on a regular basis. & if you don't, then they don't exactly associate themselves with you. I don't understand why the company is okay with drug addicts working at their store. To me it's a real pain in the butt. I do not like working for a company that supports that. If I were an employer & my employees were coming to work high or blatantly talking about drugs/how messed up they got the night before in front of customers I would have them terminated immediately. I find that MOD has a very negative work environment & I am currently looking for a new job. I have had multiple conversations about this issue with the managers, however I have not seen anything done about it. Because of that I have just chosen to move on from MOD.

Pros

Fun place to work, fast paced environment, often pleasant coworkers, flexible schedule, decent tips, great location.

Cons

Original family that started the chain had to sell (2004). The corporation that bought it seems to be trying to run it into the ground. Took away benefits and perks from employees, swapped out higher quality products for cheap, low quality products, and to cut their own costs down, won't allow enough team members to work a shift, leaving us short handed and overworked. Customers paid the price by having excessive wait times for their food and frequently walked out. It was embarrassing! Our store didn't have a manager for a full year, which only added fuel to the fire. What started out as one of my favorite jobs of all time turned into nothing less than a nightmare.
