Pros

The culture at the store level was great; the team members genuinely cared about each other. The company does a lot of local charity work, directly partnering with charities and often volunteering special events or promotions to highlight the charity partner. Solid pay at the store level. Second chance hires for felons and those with mental disabilities.

Cons

The office culture is extremely toxic. Very low pay for the expected level of performance, long working hours, little to no recognition of hard work. No chance of promotions, very stingy bonus structure, poor benefits. Leadership is pleasant to talk to, but refuses to take action on concerns brought to their attention. They have money flow issues and tend to leave vendors waiting for payment for much longer than contractually agreed.

Pros

Fun place to work, fast paced environment, often pleasant coworkers, flexible schedule, decent tips, great location.

Cons

Original family that started the chain had to sell (2004). The corporation that bought it seems to be trying to run it into the ground. Took away benefits and perks from employees, swapped out higher quality products for cheap, low quality products, and to cut their own costs down, won't allow enough team members to work a shift, leaving us short handed and overworked. Customers paid the price by having excessive wait times for their food and frequently walked out. It was embarrassing! Our store didn't have a manager for a full year, which only added fuel to the fire. What started out as one of my favorite jobs of all time turned into nothing less than a nightmare.
