Pros

Sometimes chaotic but most of the time it’s pretty laid back. MPHI provides an atmosphere designed to keep you focused on the task at hand. Some people think they can talk to you any old way because you’re not face to face but most interactions are polite. Hours are great. Co-workers are great. Everything about this place is great!

Cons

Some bad phone interactions but most are tame. Nothing to make you want to quit or anything.

Pros

This review applies to internal staff, not to those who work for the State of Michigan. Great culture of teamwork and camaraderie. Good office culture, decent benefits, and flexible remote work options. Really varies with your leader.

Cons

The leadership is naive (especially the C-suite) - they think they know everything but rarely listen to staff. They pay themselves very well, while staff members, at times, struggle to receive proper compensation. This difference may at times be based on how you are funded. There are some personalities (in leadership and those who influence) that are toxic, seek to exclude, create in-groups and out-groups, division, and manipulate it. At times, those in leadership acquiesce to these personalities.
