Pros
The company overall is good, they make profits regularly - and increase their stock shares yearly. I found the work to be enjoyable and the hours and pay fair.
Cons
If your head isn't above middle management be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster ride. The emotional intelligence at this company is poor at best. Nobody wants to create work for "their" department, and the mentality of "it's always been this way" is deeply rooted in their culture. The mere suggestion of changing something that is built improperly is met with direct hostility. A hostile environment breeds hostility. Other employees would flat out not work with you, respond to your tickets or questions, unless the middle management was on the same call. It's a really weird environment, you can tell that the manager is a bully to everyone on the team, because they only respond when this person is in the room forcing a response. As an example the middle management person's microphone didn't work for 2 weeks and nobody would tell that person - because they were afraid of how that person would respond. If you apply this way of thinking to the rest of the projects, if there is an issue, no one says anything, no one extends their neck to try and make it right, for fear that this person will lash out. I've had several one on one calls that would never be acceptable in an open setting, this person flips a switch and bullies you on the call, putting you down, ranting and venting, without an option for you to speak. This was frequent when on a "work from home" day because no one else in the office could hear the harsh words and tone on our calls. I interrupted one of these rants and that's why I'm on glassdoor today, sharing my story so that the next person has an idea before going into this company. They sell you on all of the benefits, and ensure you're 100% solid, then the mind games start, the gas lightning, I said this or that... if you have ever been in a toxic relationship you know what this means. Maybe other people can work under a bully, but I cannot, will not let people talk down to me like that, doesn't matter if it's the queen of England. The other thing of note here, is that everyone is in every meeting, every day - complete waste of time. You can just tell these folks are hanging on until retirement.
