The execution of these improvements is usually quite poor and not sustainable. I understand some experimenting is needed but this goes mostly down to project people changing throughout the development and the result is a delivery that noone can capture from start to the end. A lot of externals who don’t give a damn about MSD, contractors and outsourcing companies coming up with ridiculous processes to generate sales. When you push for change it’s a marathon and there is not enough sponsorship from leadership as everyone is drowning in administrative and inefficient processes. Company politics. Managers commonly tend to exercise power of authority to pursue their targets. Managers lack leadership skills. Managers won’t protect interests of their teams, they will take as many stuff as possible to favor themselves in eyes of their superiors, while they dump all the work on their team and overload tjem. Since the manager’s referal plays important part in internal hiring, you basically can’t resist if you wish to advance and keep a relationship with your manager. If you bring up some issues you will be perceived as conflicting person.
