Pros

Health benefits, opportunity for overtime

Cons

The company keeps promoting within. It's all about favoritism, no real management or skill set is considered to move up the ladder. The training department is non-existent once they train you to step into the Core. You receive processing training from regular employees, who while are very helpful, are not following or sometimes not even aware of the SOP's for the tasks they are showing you. You need nothing more than a High school diploma to earn a job within processing. While that might be OK for some, it's difficult when you have a college, professional, or industry background. It's because of these standards, that the managers treat their staff like they're high school students, and not like adult employees. While MTF shouts out their mission, and pushes for organ/tissue donation, their staff in the core- who handle the donated tissue- have very little to no understanding of how the tissue came to be, or the importance of treating the tissues with respect. There is a serious lack of medical and donation knowledge within the processing departments. Many of the managers, act very unprofessional. They lack proper, professional communication with their staff. They try to act like "one of the gang" one day, and the next they are coming down hard and changing rules unnecessarily. MTF is attempted to "change the culture" within the Processing departments. But until they can offer any real salaries above 45k a year, they are getting what they pay for. For such a large, prosperous company, they dress their Processing employees in ugly, ratty scrubs. They don't provide lab coats, instead you're given an ugly long jacket that looks like a blanket. It would be nice if they could show some pride in their Processing employees. I came to MTF to be part of the donation mission to save and heal lives. I left after I realized processing in the core was just a "Production" job. Huge disconnect between the work and the mission, it just wasn't for me.

Pros

I’ve been with MTF Biologics for nearly 18 years, and I can honestly say it’s been an incredibly meaningful and rewarding place to build a career. It’s not just a job — the work we do truly makes a difference, and that gives a real sense of purpose every day. One of the biggest reasons I’ve stayed so long is the people. I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside some incredibly talented, dedicated, and supportive individuals across multiple departments. There’s a strong sense of teamwork, and when challenges come up, people step up and support each other. Over the years, I’ve also had opportunities to grow both professionally and personally. The company has allowed me to develop my skills, take on new responsibilities, and recently step into a leadership role, which I’m very grateful for. Like any organization, there are always areas that can continue to improve, but overall, MTF Biologics is a place where hard work is valued, the mission is meaningful, and the people truly make the difference. I’m proud to be part of this team and look forward to continuing to grow here.
