Pros

Stable. Staff Octopus Duties not difficult but many

Cons

Station Controllers (>S10) have great power and can treat G grade colleagues very bad if you are not their pack. Management always create new tasks for station to do but no pay added. Station staff are on shift but dxmn HR many send u to far from home(>35,<45 by mtr), but most of the non traffic hr you need to spend more than 1.5hrs to work

Pros

Everyone is so friendly to work with. I enjoy coming to work because I love my job. This is a great company to work for.

Cons

I want to work every day but they won’t let me.

Pros

- big company - brand-name effect - accepts interns of all years I actually really enjoyed my experience and what I learnt. the environment is lax, yet employees are willing to help you learn. Part of the attractiveness of working in a big company is that their internship programs will be more established, and MTR delivered just that. My project experience was satisfying, and there was a strong sense of letting interns take ownership over their projects.

Cons

- bureaucratic - slow pace, stagnant (my manager had to wait 10 years for his promotion) - mean age is 35+ MTR has a monopoly over the metro services in Hong Kong. As such, there isn't a sense of always being better and better, but rather just keep doing what they have been doing all this time. As an intern, I found it hard to introduce new concepts, software and tools to the company.
