People are generally respectful of other team members.

Cons

Blame culture within teams. Lack of accountability amongst team and leadership. Individuals not recognised on merit and individuals wanting to learn and grow not recognised. Blame culture and lack of coaching to junior staff, corporate politics where individuals who want to grow and develop are stigmatised and not recognised nor mentored for promotion/growth and are instead blamed within Internal Audit London department, This has been observed not in one individual team but wider department. I’ve personally become depressed, anxious and sad, knowing that I could be potentially stuck without progressing or mentored. Auditors in charge are concerned about staying in budget yet no sense of accountability with blame made towards junior staff rather than reflecting what the team could have done better.I have never faced a situation like this having worked in other organisations.

- Learning - Networking - Great & Friendly people

Cons

- not enough training, have to find resources yourself - not enough career progression in the bank for back office roles - doing work that sometimes isn't useful - old technology - AVP's doing VP work because of layoffs to save money
