Pros
-Stable Employment, strong in Project Finance and there is the possibility to be sent abroad or in an interesting department thanks to job rotation -Great benefits (pension, healthcare insurance etc.). If you are Japanese and you are willing to spend most of your career in there, you are set for life.
Cons
-Job rotation:although you can express a preference, many times is not taken into account. The process is murky and the assigned department might not be the best fit. Moreover, people are rotated in departments that have little to do with each other, hampering specialization. -slow decision making, bureaucratic, low specialization, almost no diversity in Headquarters. -low pay, not many vacation days (similar to most companies in Japan) -management is pure seniorority, so a lot of inept people on top.
