Pros
Overall culture is what keeps a lot of people here; immediate work colleagues are great & collaborative, and become like friends in addition to colleagues; actual work field-based sales folks do is rewarding, challenging, and provides a lot of variety; lots of travel required during peak selling seasons of fall & spring semesters, but the slower pace of summers & holidays offer a lot of rest to recharge for the sprints during the semesters; investment into AI tools seems to be outpacing the industry competitors and has promise to improve the workflow of many sales folks
Cons
Below-market pay compared to other competitors or industries; declining industry trends as the enrollment cliff of college-aged students is coming; slower compared to competitors when bringing new products to market; declining culture over the last few years due to departure of many long-time Macmillan people
