Pros

They respect remote work and I don't see them forcing people back into the office. There are a lot of good people working at Macmillan Learning. I had a great manager, which is why I stayed as long as I did. I would consider this a good STARTING point in a career, but don't waste too much of your career at this company. They won't respect you or the time you put into the company in the end.

Cons

Upper management is falling apart. They don't seem to know what they are doing and, as a result, are constantly laying off workers. I worked for this company for five years. Every year, there was at least one group of layoff. It is not a stable industry and a less stable company. There is not much room from growth within the company, either.

Pros

Organized team, flexible workflow, good beginner publishing experience

Cons

Got this job a month before the pandemic and the transition to remote was easy and organized. My contracted role was extended serveral times and the team was very helpful as references for future work.
