Pros
I have been at Maesa over a year, and I can honestly say the environment described on Glassdoor is a Maesa of old. The current CEO and COO are committed to changing the culture and environment for the better. The HR department and senior leadership has been fantastic during COVID. We have been working from home, had a stipend to order office equipment (desks and chairs) at home, and it feels like they genuinely cared we were safe at home. Also, the financial incentive to refund all expenses for commuting to the office if you wanted to, really helped me feel safe if I chose to come into the office. The people here are all in it together - I really enjoy working with my coworkers. I think this is a place full of kind and supportive people, on a whole. I really appreciate the commitment to Diversity and Inclusion - at all levels not just lower levels but even at the C-Suite.
Cons
The leaders who have been here greater than 5 years clearly have not had management training, and there are clear differences in the quality of managers department to department. Timelines are not achievable - and everyone knows it. The CEO knows it and he has been actively changing timelines to be more realistic, but the old mentality from older employees has been difficult to get rid of here.
