Pros
I was hired by Magaya about 3 months ago to work on exciting digital projects. What caught my attention- and continues to- is the culture here at Magaya: there is very much a "lets try that and see if it works" way of thinking that's combined with a constant search for knowledge, metrics, and a culture of experimentation. Seriously, I see people with books on their desks that I immediately want to gobble those books up because they are so interesting- and that hunger for knowledge seems to come from the top too. There's a heavy focus on metrics and actually knowing what results are coming from marketing. I think most companies, currently lack this type of thinking (huge leg up if you actually care about results and not just going through the motions.) My experience of the management and leadership team is that they actually care about the development and contribution of individual employees- the owners and managers are accessible and open to feedback or new ways of thinking. I've worked at other companies where work politics make it unpleasant and inauthentic- I like that people here are both smart and friendly. I see this as a vision driven company.
Cons
Would like the opportunity to work from home once or twice a week, since I know I can handle to discipline and responsibility. :)
