Pros
Very smart people work here. Some great potential in the technology being developed, and the raw talent is exemplary.
Cons
Clarity of focus is lacking. Huge push for content suddenly gets dropped to nothing as there's suddenly a rush to push the tech to match what competitors are showing, even as those producing content were worried about the lack of, and asking for asking for, info on tech. Leads to a lot of flying blind, one hand not knowing what the other does types of situations. Desperately in need of external development and content, with precious little money or personnel put on developer relations. Many potential developers chased off by this and particularly detrimental and aggressive terms to simply be exposed to the tech and potential. This has since been softened quite a bit, but the damage has been done, and no resources have been put forth to help recover from this. Very cliquish between some departments, leading to more of the above issues. Different departments acting almost like fiefdoms, with managers more worried about loss of power than progress of tech or success of company. At least one content manager who refers to the focus of his department as a 'distraction' and a 'fad', which kills morale of the team members working on those projects; has led to some people (both reports as well as other managers who had to work with him) asking to move elsewhere in the company
