Pros

Blur Group’s workforce is made up of many nationalities, and everyone is committed, creative and dedicated. You get to meet and work alongside some highly talented people. Good place to work if you want to experience how to run a business into the ground.

Cons

The business concept is a good one, that’s what attracted me to join the company in the first place, however the business plan is seriously flawed, numbers are massaged to impress the investors, and strategies are changed almost weekly to appease the fantastical aspirations of the CEO. Within a few months of joining new employees realise the lay of the land and as a result staff turnover is high. So high that leaving do’s are not allowed. blur Group aspires to be like Google, with its pizza lunches, background music and open plan offices. Unfortunately it’s more akin to a dictatorship. Depressed staff are even subjected to the CEO’s favourite ‘motivational’ song at full volume every day, driving many to seek refuge in the toilets or car park to escape the insanity.

Pros

It is very refreshing that everyone cares about contributing to the company, our customers and our Experts in a positive way. Leadership gives employees the opportunity to stretch their skills and grow in areas of interest. blur Group is a growing company that values the different backgrounds, experience, talents and interests of its employees. There is a great culture of team-work unlike anywhere else I have worked. You get to learn so much about many different areas of business so no day or project is ever the same.

Cons

This is a growing company so processes are always evolving. This can be a positive because it means that process are constantly being evaluated and changed if need be. If you like processes to be black and white and get frustrated by changes to process, this might present a challenge.
