Pros

The comradery formed with fellow co-workers, a bond formed when many people suffer together.

Cons

The CEO/founder is delusional, egotistical, dishonest and likely the cruelest boss I've ever encountered. He routinely made employees cry. One senior woman suffered the death of a close relative and was so fearful of the CEO she did not ask permission to attend the funeral. A week later he condemned her for letting her mind slip and not be more focused on work. In a 'leadership' meeting which he instituted for all seniors, he instructed us that the best way to lead was to treat our juniors as dogs, that like dogs, they just be put on a leash and told what to do. He filled his staff with Yes Men too insecure to tell him no, and young foreigners desperate for money. He was an image, thinking himself the next Steve Jobs, and the numbers reflecting the products' success were largely made up, which investors fell for. Quite simply the product did not work. Instead of being online independent, a digital product, it was almost entirely reliant on cold calls by a frightened sales staff. Instead of fixing the product, we wasted time following the panicked orders of the CEO driven by tyrannical outbursts everytime the stock dipped 1/2 a point. This is a disastrous place to work, sadly because of a single man.

Pros

It is very refreshing that everyone cares about contributing to the company, our customers and our Experts in a positive way. Leadership gives employees the opportunity to stretch their skills and grow in areas of interest. blur Group is a growing company that values the different backgrounds, experience, talents and interests of its employees. There is a great culture of team-work unlike anywhere else I have worked. You get to learn so much about many different areas of business so no day or project is ever the same.

Cons

This is a growing company so processes are always evolving. This can be a positive because it means that process are constantly being evaluated and changed if need be. If you like processes to be black and white and get frustrated by changes to process, this might present a challenge.
