Pros

Some great people from around the world work here. For a Devon based company it appears on the surface as an exciting place to work!

Cons

Working with the senior management is painful to say the least. They change the processes continually to try and find a working model (not happened yet). They are rude to staff and demoralise the workforce. Shouting at staff and swearing at staff is common. They work the staff as hard as they can with no signs of rewards. Most staff leave within the first year with or without a job to go to. I would advice anyone looking to join the blur group to try and speak to a former employee before looking to join. I would look at the reviews from the financial bodies and see how the company is behaving before thinking about joining them. I have not met any current employees in the Exeter office who are happy with their job - most are trying to leave.

Pros

It is very refreshing that everyone cares about contributing to the company, our customers and our Experts in a positive way. Leadership gives employees the opportunity to stretch their skills and grow in areas of interest. blur Group is a growing company that values the different backgrounds, experience, talents and interests of its employees. There is a great culture of team-work unlike anywhere else I have worked. You get to learn so much about many different areas of business so no day or project is ever the same.

Cons

This is a growing company so processes are always evolving. This can be a positive because it means that process are constantly being evaluated and changed if need be. If you like processes to be black and white and get frustrated by changes to process, this might present a challenge.
